About Us
South Harpeth River Retreat is a hidden paradise in Nashville TN, close to historic Franklin and Leipers Fork. This 70 acre farm is located along over a mile of pristine South Harpeth river bend frontage, and has been hosting retreats of all kinds for over 60 years. There are several structures on the property including a retreat house for guests to reserve for their specific functions. These include a bunkhouse that sleeps 30+ people, a separate kitchen/meeting building, and an auditorium/sanctuary building that can hold 150+ attendees. In addition to our climate-controlled buildings, we have several outdoor amenities including an outdoor chapel area, gazebo, open pole barn, children's playground, and multiple fire pits. There is also an outdoor bathhouse equipped with showers and toilets, convieniently located near the river and pole barn/gazebo. We are known for hosting special retreats for various groups, weddings, ministry gatherings, wellness retreats, private family groups and even festivals with thousands of attendees. This entire 70 acres can be rented for weekend retreats and is perfect for planning your corporate retreat.

Spring on the Retreat
Spring has sprung and will your senses as you behold the flowers and greeneries! This is what I like to call the in-between season where you can enjoy your sweaters and fire pits at night and the not so cold plunges into the river during the days. There are many areas to explore that will keep you busy. This time of year there is a thick foggy mist that engulfs this river bend in the mornings , that slowly rise with the morning sun.
Winter on the Retreat
1 or 2 weeks out of the year we will get snowed in.This is the most magical place to be when that happens. When there isn't snow, the hillsides reveal rock cliffs up to 180' tall and a crystal clear river where the fish can be seen year round. We have many fire pits spread out around the property and even have a fireplace in the chapel/gymnasium.This 70 acre retreat can be exclusively yours.Dont wait until spring or summer to take a break, stay here and experience nature and be rejuvenated.
Fall on the Retreat
Fall is the best time of year to bring your wedding! From September to the end of October we host the Nashville Fall Festival in the fields and common grounds of the retreat center. Monday-friday you can explore the 7 acre sunflower field and find your way out of the 10 acre corn maze. The festival hours pick up from Friday after noon until Sunday. Imagine having your own fall festival while you stay at our private guest quarters.
