South Harpeth River is a pristine and clean waterway protected by the TWA. There may be a few other families enjoying the river front on any particular day, but we only allow limited spots to be booked per day, so you can pick your own private spot to set up your chairs, umbrellas or picnic blanket. While you have your reservation you are allowed to explore the river front on the side closest to the retreat center. There is a bath house conveniently located close to the river area, next to the pole barn, for your use. SEE PRICING for more details.
"Clearwater beach" was the name that was given to this area by the locals in the 1950's. This was the local hangout for summer fun because of the beach like appearance. Forget about cluttered pools full of chemicals, come experience crystal clear water with a half mile of beach like rocks and interesting wildlife including native turtles, fish, birds and more.
